  • I met these Taiwanese people in Yellowstone. I voluntered to take a group shot and suddenly 4 or 5 of them gave me their cameras and I had to take a picture with each. At the end, I asked them for one more with my camera. They thought that was funny and you see the result. They asked me to visit their country. Sep 15, 2008.

  • These friends were about to depart the Paulina Lake overlook in Newbury Volcanic Monument (Oregon) (at about 8,000 feet) and ride down to the bottom several miles. October 13, 2010.

They left their car here so they can pick it up after their trek across the Continental Divide from the south side of the Centennial Mountains to here on the north side, about 37 miles in high mountainous (and rainy) terrain. I took them to the trailhead on the southside, about 75 miles from here. Sep 1, 2012.
