  • The erosional nature of the landscape near the Canyonlands is fantastic. At every turn there is a majestic and perhaps odd looking butte, cliff or eroding mountain or deep canyon. Here along highway 211 in southeastern Utah is an example of a Navajo Sandstone in a final stage of erosion. The fins are very narrow and will probably collapse in the next 50 to 500 years!
