Zoos
Zoo's are often a necessary evil. When humans have been responsible for the demise of so many animals in the wild, Zoo's can serve the purpose of breeding or managing to keep the species alive. Zoo's often allow photographers to get closer to rare species than they could ever afford to do in the wild. Here I share some of my photos of animals in captivity.

The Swainson's Hawk here was saved from extraordinary heat after a late hatching near Boise, Idaho and raised from a chick by this trainer. This photos shows the relative size of her trainer and herself. This animal is caged at the World Center for Birds of Prey in Boise, Idaho.
